First CHARM Doctoral Meeting: Two Weeks of Research, Learning, and Hands-on Heritage Restoration

From November 2 to 15, the CHARM project is proud to host its very first PhD Doctoral Canidates Meeting, bringing together PhD researchers from across the network.

This two-week event offers an exciting combination of intensive academic training, scientific exchange, and immersive fieldwork.

Event Highlights & Agenda

  • November 2 – 4 | Autumn School

    An intensive series of lectures and workshops designed to enhance the methodological and technical skills of our early-stage researchers.

  • November 5 – 6 | ECBSM Conference

    Doctoral students will participate in and contribute to the European Conference on Building Special Materials (ECBSM).

  • Saturday, November 7 | Case Study Site Visit: Haute-Isle

    A guided field visit to the unique troglodytic Church of Haute-Isle, one of CHARM’s key research case studies.

  • November 9 – 15 | Restoration Workshop at the Château de Coucy

    A hands-on practical week on built heritage restoration, organized in close collaboration with project partner REMPART Association.
